Ceredigion County Council have introduced ‘Safe Zones’ in many town centres, including New Quay.
While we welcome measures to make us all safer, this hair brained scheme is causing chaos and major disruption to normal access to the Post Office and Harbour area, particularly for those less mobile.
We are doing our best to try to get the Council to mitigate these effects but at the moment it is like trying to have a conversation with a brick wall.
We are trying to negotiate level pedestrian access to the lower harbour area, including the Post Office but despite promising to call back, up to now, they have not.
Please be assured we are open, some sort of access is available by driving down water street and stopping outside Gingeros; the barriers keep being removed at this point – I don’t have a clue as to who is doing this, but Thank you.
